The 2018 Sunday Scout, they say, is made for dedicated riders on a budget. It might lack a few features of its bigger brother we reviewed, the EX, but there are more than enough highlights to make this a strong contender. Let’s check it out.

The company have been making improvements to their complete bikes year on year, and 2018 sees the Sunday Scout built with more legit aftermarket products than ever before. Highlights include the new Odyssey Path Pro tyre and Twisted Pro pedals, Sunday Freeze top load stem, Broc Raiford signature grips and Odyssey’s bestselling Springfield brake. Also, crucially, the Scout has fully sealed hubs front and back – ensuring fast and smooth rolling for a very long time.

The Scout not only comes in a range of colours for 2018, it’s also available in two different top tube sizes – 20.5” and 20.85”. This means that whether you’re taller, shorter, older, younger, the Scout can work for you. The model we have here, in Semi-Matte Trans Teal, has a 20.5” top tube. The paintwork is top class, proper job. If the shorter frame is your bag then you can also choose a raw finish, or if you’d prefer a longer frame, it’s available in Semi-Matte Black or Trans Light Purple.
