Simple designs that are well realised are always pleasing to look at. The shape of the Odyssey Litehouse rim is very simple and classic-looking, and we like that. It’s appealing.
Odyssey have got it dialled. Their product design has to be among the best in BMX, they’ve pioneered several technologies and seem to hold more patents in their inventions than many other brands. It’s been said that Odyssey (and their family of GSPORT and Sunday) are at the forefront of BMX product design, and we wouldn’t really argue with that.
“The Odyssey Litehouse Rim is both light and strong, with super-thick angled sidewalls to minimize the risk of damage when you hang up. The rim features a wider cross-section than normal to compliment modern tire widths. Designed as a semi-brakeless rim that can be run front or rear.”
Semi-brakeless is a bit of a strange term, but basically it means that while this rim is all good for pure and simple brakeless riding, they’ve also left enough flat space for those in the brake squad to get stoked on.
“The shape makes your wheel / tyre seem thicker somehow. It’s a good look.”
