BSD RUDE TUBE LT PEGS – REVIEW

Dan Paley aka The Donny Soulja knows how to lace together a grind combo. If you’ve seen his BSD Soulja promo video, you’ll know he does things like over smith to ice on massive handrails, fakie crooks, fakie ices, plus loads of other peg moves that simply don’t make sense written down. He’s got the hang of it. With that in mind, BSD granted Paley his own signature peg, the BSD Rude Tube…

“Dan Paley is a right rude ‘en and he likes to get rude (aka grind) on all available surfaces without causing enough rudeness (aka noise and/or damage) to upset the neighbours. His new signature Rude Tube pegs have a durable plastic sleeve with a heat treated and butted chromo inner peg for maximum strength.” –BSD

“LT = 33% lighter. That means you can run four of the BSD Rude Tube LT Pegs with the equivalent weight of two and a half pegs.”

The Rude Tube peg has been a hit since its release, and BSD have recently released the LT version – which is 33% lighter. That means you can run four of these bad boys with the equivalent weight of two and a half pegs. Good stuff.

BSD is a Scottish BMX brand with one hell of a team. Their momentum can be traced along with the success of the riders who they sponsor – just look at Kriss Kyle, Alex D, Reed Stark, David Grant and Dan Paley. Some of these guys are almost brands in their own right. BSD has kept the fire lit with great products and arguably some of the best video content of any brand, thanks to the efforts of Dave Sowerby. Transmission, BSD’s feature length team video, is the perfect example of the kind of polished, highly considered video work Sowerby produces. Pair that strong brand image with a reputation for high quality parts, and you have a genuinely strong BMX company.

“The Rude Tube LT uses the same plastic outer as the Rude Tube peg but has a tough 7075 alloy inner with a heat treated chromo adaptor at the dropout interface which won’t lose its shape from over tightening or catching an upright.” –BSD

That chromo adapter is what sets these apart. It’s a different approach but it definitely seems to work! The Rube Tube LT comes in either 4.2” or 4.5” lengths, 10mm or 14mm axle fit, and you can buy replacement plastic sleeves. All good.

RRP: £23.99 (£6.49 for replacement sleeve)
