Nose manuals. Nose mannies. Nozzas. Noseys. Whatever you call them, Chad Kerley has got the hang of them. One hundred percent. If you asked me, I’d say that Chad’s banger clip in his Markit Zero section is the best nose manual ever done.
To do nose manuals at such a high level, you need quite a specific set of forks. With his absolute expertise in the area, Chad came up with a short and snappy design for his signature forks from Premium Parts, the CK Fork.
“Chad Kerley came up with a short and snappy design, perfect for nose manuals.”
Why so specific? Doing front end tricks demands a short fork offset, meaning your front wheel doesn’t sit as far forward as it does in forks with traditional geometry. A traditional offset is usually around 32mm. A shorter offset makes it easier to get your weight over the balance point of the front wheel – simple. For his forks, Chad has gone with a 24mm offset, which is very short!
