DAY 3 – BMX street
The competition was decided at the street plaza, on the third and final day of competition. The edit starts a little slow, but hold tight to see Ben Lewis, Broc Raiford and Tyler Fernengel’s shut down the stair rail at the end. Followed by the prize ceremony, where Daniel Sandoval wins a mountain bike that’s almost taller than he is.
“The 2015 Mongoose Jam wrapped up with the Street Contest where pros and ams kept things flowing at the Junction and the Plaza. The results decided which team would take the glory and the bragging rights as well as the largest portion of the $50,000 prize.
The entire camp came out to watch the pros and their fellow campers compete for the win. The crowd cheered as they watched Team Captain Kevin Peraza decade down the stairs and saw Team McCann’s Devon Smillie get rad at the Plaza with a suicide no handed fakie. The audience went nuts for Matt Ray’s (Team Wallace) double truckdriver down the stairs. Broc Raiford (Team Peraza) nailed it in the Street Competition with challenging moves on the course like his double peg uprail to truckdriver.”
Street Comp Top Three Individual Results:
1. Broc Raiford (Team Peraza)
2. Matt Ray (Team Wallace)
3. Devon Smillie (Team McCann)
