As entry-level complete BMX bikes go, the Wethepeople Nova is a fine choice…

We The People has been doing good things in BMX since the mid 90s. The German brand, with its top-notch design principles and bold graphic signatures, has built and maintained a credible reputation in BMX worldwide.

Riders like Josh Heino and Dave Osato really cemented the brand’s presence around the early 2000s. The team today represents modern technical street riding through and through, just look at the names – Jordan Godwin, Ed Zunda, Mike Curley, Dillon Lloyd, Dan Kruk, Felix Prangenberg… These guys are modern street riding.

In recent years, Wethepeople have been on top of their complete bike division. With a huge range, both in terms of price and style, it’s no wonder so many people choose a Wethepeople for their first BMX.

First BMX is the Nova’s target position, without doubt. It’s short, light and responsive enough for younger riders, but there’s enough quality in the build to make it last some progression time.

Oh yeah, it’s a bold colour! Its full power doesn’t really come through in photos. There’s a more subtle option if this red is too lairy – black with a few blue highlights. We do like this neon red, though. While it is rather ‘in your face,’ aesthetically the whole bike works well as an ensemble, with its black and chrome parts.
