WETHEPEOPLE ARCADE 2018 – REVIEW

The Wethepeople Arcade has been one of the bestselling BMX bikes of recent years…

We The People has been doing good things in BMX since the mid 90s. The German brand, with its top-notch design principles and bold graphic signatures, has built and maintained a credible reputation in BMX worldwide.

Riders like Josh Heino and Dave Osato really cemented the brand’s presence around the early 2000s. The team today represents modern technical street riding through and through, just look at the names – Jordan Godwin, Ed Zunda, Mike Curley, Dillon Lloyd, Dan Kruk, Felix Prangenberg… These guys are modern street riding.

The 2018 Arcade has a few important upgrades from last year…”

In recent years, Wethepeople have been on top of their complete bike division. With a huge range, both in terms of price and style, it’s no wonder so many people choose a Wethepeople as their first BMX.

The Wethepeople Arcade has been a bestseller in the last few years. The 2018 model has a few important upgrades from last year:

“A tasteful and stylish model built to ride and shred it all. For 2018 we decided to offer the Arcade in both a 20.5” and a longer 21” option giving larger or senior riders the ability to ride one of the most popular bikes in our line. You’ll find some truly bombproof components including the Salt (AM) sealed cassette hub and (Tracer) 2.35” tires, as well as some new 2018 parts including (Fraction) rims and (Comp) sprocket. Between the Matt Black version with a touch of Satin Oil Slick, and the mesmerizing Translucent Blue colourway, you’ll be left debating which one you want to take home the fastest.” –Wethepeople

A choice of top tube sizes on a complete bike is a clever strategy – the usual lack of options on most other completes might put some riders off.

Ours came in the Translucent Blue colourway, which is a very impressive paint job. It definitely looks better than you’d expect for the money, more like a pro aftermarket frame. With its looks, spec and options, the Arcade is clearly a good choice for getting into BMX.
