Lightening. This came about through boredom one summers night during a storm. I had seen pictures of lightening and had even filmed some(sad I know) in the past but never had the chance to capture it on a photo. I drove out to the spot hoping the storm was still going to be happening and set up the camera on a tripod with a brolly over the top.. Luckily it was still going off so it was a case of doing 10 sec exposures constantly until I got a good one. I actually managed to capture 3 but this was the best.
Scott ditchburn whip. The shot of Scott was another accident in a roundabout way. Scott called out a rail ride to whip off which seemed like a mad idea and me being the photographer didn’t want to get it wrong. I asked him to stand on top of the rail to get the composition right. I set the lens at where I thought he would be but when he finally sent it, went loads higher than expected. My initial thoughts where ”Oh no I’ve ruined the shot” then it started to grow on me and Ride UK mag run this as a DPS as part of his interview. Cheers Scott.
