Bird in tree. Besides shooting pics of BMX stuff all the time I do like to get out and try to capture wildlife shots. This pic was another accidental one which came out ok. I was shooting B and W film using a red filter to give more contrast and wanted to get a shot of these birds in a tree. There must have been a hundred or more so a crept closer to take the shot. Without realising I trod on a twig which made the whole flock fly away apart from one. I decided to take it anyway because I felt sorry for the bird that got left behind. Looking back they did me a favour and it actually turned out to be not such a bad pic.
Jam in wind. This shot was taken with my first set of pocket wizards the day I bought them. I only had one flash gun and had bought my 1st Digital SLR and was desperate to try them out. It was winter and howling wind and fancied the idea of shooting something out in the wild. This corn on the cob crop had been wiped out by the wind and took a few posy shots when Jam had the idea to stage being blown over by the wind. So we picked out a stem and Jam repeatedly threw himself into the air to make it look windy-er than it actually was. This was probably a turning point for me and realised the importance of remote flashes even though it was a piss take shot.
