So here we are, in Carl’s own words;
“His name is Troy Hayward, he lives in Portsmouth and is 13 yrs old.
Troy has been riding BMX for over 2 years now and local park is Southsea Skatepark. (although he used to ride the Ghetto shed with me…)”
“Troy got into BMX when he passed a bike shop with his dad, went in and bought an 18” complete and it just went from there really… Troy’s first comp was at BMX Masters in 2012 in which he got 29th in Amature Park, then in 2013 he took 6th place! – This year he won the Amature Superbowl and has also been doing a few FISE comps over in France. Troy’s first one was in 2013 and he took 3rd place in park, this year he took 2nd place at FISE Marseille, 2nd at FISE Carnet, 3rd at FISE Montpellier (park), 3rd at FISE Montpellier (spine mini) & Finally,
1st place at FISE Le Havre! – The kid also won ‘Prince of Concrete’ at Southsea King of Concrete 2013.” – I think it’s fair to say that he’s a pretty talented 13 year old then…
Troy’s sponsors are: Total BMX – Kunstform BMX shop – NiceTouch Custom Paintwork & Hitch UK.
“Mark Webb has given Troy a lot of encouragement, Ronnie Remo for Total BMX parts, Kunstform for all the other Parts. I have been painting Troy’s bikes from the beginning and I hope to do many more as he progresses through the years or months at this rate.”
Anyway without further adieu, here are a few images of Troy’s new custom paint job… How awesome does this flip-paint effect look though?
