5 Best BMX Videos 2018: Amazing New Edits for the New Year

Best BMX videos 2018… New year’s day was filled with crazy good content, so here we go… Happy new year!

2018 is already stacking up with amazing BMX videos, with several brands and riders releasing big new edits around new year’s day.

“We’ve been blown away with the videos dropping already this week…”

We’ve been blown away with the videos landing this week so we’ve collected our five favourites and put them all in one place. From bowls to street to parks to trails, BMX in 2018 is already RAD. Check the videos out right here…

1. Cult Crew: Corey Walsh – Welcome to the Pro Team

Corey Walsh is a maniac. From a solid background in racing (clearly, the dude isn’t scared of going fast) Corey has been steadily dominating bowls around the globe for the last few years. High speed, big transfers and probably the best pocket airs in the world.

“I’ll let Corey’s riding do the talking, but basically he embodies everything we love in a rider…Getting the call up from us is no easy task but with a good attitude, passion to ride and style to match it can happen…We are proud to WELCOME COREY WALSH TO THE CULT PRO TEAM…” –Robbie Morales, Cult

2. Jordan Aleppo: Bastard of the Abyss

Jordan Aleppo set off on a journey around the globe last year.

This trip wasn’t just a BMX trip, it was also an emotional escape, a personal reward, an eye-opening opportunity, a chance to reflect on the past and look to the future with a new perspective.

We love Jordan and we’re stoked to see him put this all together in video form. When he talks about his childhood, it’s pretty heavy. Stories of family abuse from his Dad, things like that. It’s incredibly brave of Jordan to put all this out there, but he’s done it all on his own terms and we can only respect him for it.

Get comfy for this one and let Jordan tell you his story…

3. The Shadow Conspiracy: Mark Burnett – Take Your Time

Mark Burnett absolutely slaying for The Shadow Conspiracy. Two years of filming has produced this absolutely STACKED video part. Sit back and enjoy…

“I met Chadwick when I was 14. I was a skeletal version of who I am today. Imagine hand-picking a 14 year old kid to accompany a group of 20-somethings on the road as a 26 year old man. How do you do that? If you tried to discipline me at that age I probably would’ve told you to, “suck it” or something along those lines. Maturity isn’t something I had perfected quite yet. He invited me to his home. He shared his friends. He educated me on the delicacy of the Cornish pasty and then because of him I was able to eat a pasty in the streets of Cornwall. On numerous occasions he has conquered the world with me, waiting patiently while I deplete myself trying tricks hundreds of times over the course of many hours. When I do something sub par he will be the first to tell me, but he also understands when I do something 6 times because the last 5, “just didn’t feel right.” I film now as well, and I know how easy it is to get frustrated behind the lens as well as on the bike. The relationship between filmer and rider has to be just right and I think we’ve found that with each other. It’s not easy knowing that this will be our last project for a while, but I sure am proud to let our saga rest here.” –Mark Burnett

4. Odyssey London

Our fair capital got a good old seeing to by the Odyssey team a few months back. With a lot of these USA dudes flying over to the UK for Battle of Hastings 2017, it made a lot of sense to tack another project on the end – so here we have the aptly named Odyssey London.

Led by team manager / ex Ride UK staff photographer Walter Pieringer, the Odyssey crew hit a few of London’s spots and came away with the decent video offering above. America’s Gary Young, Broc Raiford, Justin Spriet and Travis Hughes were joined by the UK team’s homegrown lads Brad McNicol, Tariq Haouche and Olly Rendle.

5. Villa Road – Same Bloody Place

The Villa Road boys know how to do it right. From the Woodyard trails they call home, all the way to New Zealand, the whole crew does good stuff for this full length video. Keep with it for some funny Corey Walsh clips, plenty of road trip nonsense and trails through all seasons. Love it.
