G – Gum Tyres.

These were easily one of the most unexpected trends of 2013. Alex Kennedy was the first guy we’d seen repping some gum tyres at X Games Barca, his bike looked insane! He had like orange rims on and shit. We asked you guys what you thought of the trend, and generally the results were pretty positive. Not my cup of tea, but each his own.

H – Harrymainia

When you get over 1 million views on your BMX edit you have to be doing something pretty epic. Harry Main does nothing by halves, and his Harrymainia series has been a huge hit. Harry’s story is incredible, working class kid from Liverpool turning into one of the best riders on the planet. It comes with hard work and dedication, and for this he is an inspiration to many. I – Instagram

Instagram is leading the way when it comes to BMXers checking out other BMXers. It’s also home to the best industry arguments, easily taking over Twitter because of the limitless amount of characters used, and the opportunity to say what you mean visually. But the biggest break through has been the addition of video. Now BMXers can cram in a 15 second sponsor me edit and tag the 150,000 brands that exist in there, hoping they’ll at least double tap it.
