V – Video emerges – No Forks Guy

No Forks Guy is now a cult icon at RideUKBMX. This was a snowball effect for us late last year, first off a random image of him riding down the road and then video emerges and the site went crazy for days. The plot thickened further as a park session video entered the fray too. Hope this guy has had a dope new year because he’s kept us jolly right through the festive period.

W – Weed

Weed came up in the above article last year as a minority of people which loud voices claimed it to be a trend in BMX, and a big one. But we got on the defensive and said it wasn’t. It resulted in a good debate where we all agreed to just smash a flat rail and live happily ever after, either drinking beer, smoking weed or just having a sandwich.

X – X Games

Last year X Games held events in both Barcelona and Munich, to which I attended and surprisingly had a really good time! Even though my updates were pretty sarcastic with that classic Brit abroad attitude, now I’m not there I can safely say it was a great. It was good to meet up with riders, some being heroes of mine, and it was also good to soak up the culture. Particularly in Munich, where I spent days staring at weird food and avoiding conversations about the war.
