Cool Dad gift, almost pulled.

He almost nailed this. So close. Cool Dad mode comes out around this time every year. He takes it upon himself to actually give a shit about what I do, looks in an issue of Ride UK BMX for a gift and settles on an Odyssey Gyro for a one inch headset, which is about 20 years out of date. How does this happen? Well, firstly he goes into my room and accidentally picks up a magazine from 1996 or something! Then flicks through it using his eyes and not mine, i.e the most technically advanced item, at the lowest retail price. Then he hits up Ebay and just clicks ‘Buy Now’ on a vintage BMX page. I unwrap it in front of him, take one look at my breakless set up, look back at him with a massive cheesy grin on his face and say “Thanks”. He thinks he’s the man, and that kills me.
