Bijan Kesseler from Belmonte Brand hit me up with a link to this roadtrip video and I took note. Why? Because these two guys set out to enjoy themselves and that’s exactly what happened! Good riding, plenty of spots you’ll recognise and some you won’t. But, at the end of the trip, they had bad times…

“During a Roadtrip in Spain last year to escape from Luxembourg, I met Sebastian from Patagonia in a Skatepark in Donostia, Spain. He was on a 3 month trip with his backpack and BMX through Europe. We decided to continue our road together in my old but gold van. This is what came out. A trip full of experiences and a new brand, called Belmonte.ride. Belmonte because the town Belmonte in Portugal was so unreal. Nodody, nowhere and the enormous bowl. There the idea of Belmonte.ride was born.

The last day of the trip they robbed us our bikes and the backpack of Sebastian with all his stuff. Even the camera with all the clips and the pictures of a trip that we won’t forget. This is the footage that we had on our phones.”

The Luxembourg/Argentina connection is represented by the founders of the brand, Bijan and Seba. They met 2017 in the basque country through their passion for BMX and decided to continue their trip through Spain and Portugal together in the old but gold VW T3 bus, also known as LA FURIOSA.

The town Belmonte in Portugal was an important and inspiring destination. A small and quiet village in the middle of nowhere with one of the biggest bowl of Europe. There the vision of “Belmonte” was born.
