BIKE CHECK: Jordan O’Kane

Roof drops? Tricky half cab stuff? Hop trucks, whips, pegless power moves? Jordan O’Kane is your man. Many years ago, when Jordan first appeared on our radar, he was a local Hastings kid who mainly focused on BLASTING out of the biggest transitions he could find. Moonward, he was. As time has gone on, Jordan has decided to refine his gravity work to be more focused on the ‘down’ than the ‘up’. Roof drops are Jordan’s cup of tea, which is a rather bizarre thing to write, but it’s true. Watch any Doomed video for proof, especially their latest offering, Chapter One.

Checking in now with the machine (literally, The Machine) he uses to navigate all those rooftops and flat landings.

Q&A with Jordan O’Kane

– Tell us about this bike. What are you most stoked on?

Pretty gassed on the whole setup to be honest but my frame is a massive game changer for me, especially on the drops and gaps! Frame’s honestly a beast, I used to go through so many but since riding for Bone Deth I haven’t even broken one!

– Where have you been riding on it so far?

Switzerland and Germany and also all round the UK.

– Are you working on anything new?

Yeah over the last like 8 months I been working with my boy Archie on a new Bone Deth part , which hopefully should be finished by summer if it all goes to plan 🤞🏻

– Was this the bike that you rode through most of Doomed Chapter One? How much did you change throughout the filming of that part?

I think I might have filmed half on the Bone Deth frame but always run the same éclat parts!
Think I only changed my bike once and that was my stem… Had to switch it up and put the front load on!

– How is it being a new dad?

Man honestly I haven’t got my head around it yet, I still look at her and can’t believe she’s mine, it’s the most amazing feeling in the world!

– Any shoutouts?

Yeah man shouts to Burns at Bone Deth, Pauly Robinson & boys at éclat, and everyone else that’s supported me over the years, feel so blessed to have you all backing me! And of course Char and Maeve 🤍
