BSD: Revolution Hub – how does it work?

In case you missed it, there’s been a lot of hype around this hub.  The BSD Revolution hub is a freecoaster with a radical new design (thanks to a partnership with Free Night) that means there’s much less pedal gap than a regular coaster, it clicks like a cassette hub, and ‘moonwalking’ is now possible.  Plus it’s much lighter weight than a traditional coaster.

Hit play above for a classy little video that explains and shows us how the Revolution hub actually works, alongside some great clips of Alex D, Rory Mclean and Guy Scroggie at The Loading Bay.

More info:

“BSD’s Grant Smith talks you through how the BSD Revolution hub works and explains the differences between regular freecoaster and cassette hubs. Whether you’re into riding a freecoaster or cassette, this hub combines the best of both worlds.

Filmed at the Loading Bay in Glasgow, Alex Donnachie, Guy Scroggie and Rory McLean demonstrate some of the new possibilities that the Revolution brings to BMX.”
