SPOT CHECK: The Loading Bay, Glasgow

The Loading Bay is Scotland’s newest indoor skatepark, situated just a 5 minute cycle from Glasgow’s city centre.  The park was designed and built by Vision Ramps and is run entirely by local BMX riders, as a social enterprise.

“Scotland’s newest indoor skatepark, situated just a 5 minute cycle from Glasgow’s city centre”

The building the park now occupies was once a whisky storage warehouse, and the loading bay used for deliveries has been left intact in the street section, creating a unique feature and giving the park its namesake.  There is also a large bowl, huge 5 block stairset / bleachers and a flatground space with a curved wallride and a selection of movable objects.
