Q&A with Casson Downing
– What are your initial thoughts on them?
My initial thought on the shoes was good, they look rad! My usual choice of shoe is a slip on, so the low profile and and style is spot on for what I like.
– How are they to ride in?
I’ve never had a pair of etnies before so I was unsure how they’d feel on, but straight away they were super comfy! The soles on them feel solid on the pedal as well, might have to invest in some more etnies, haha.
– How long have you been riding in them so far?
I’ve had them for a couple of weeks now and I’ve worn them non stop. They’re perfect for pretty much everything, so good for riding and they’re stylish so I’ve been rocking them everywhere!
– You don’t want your feet to blow out on tricks, especially like firecrackers, did you have any issues whilst shooting the content for this article?
Not at all man they’ve been solid! Nothing but grip on the pedals! The only thing we had trouble with was the traffic and people dodging shooting the photos… Always a good time trying to time these things considering the run up was completely blind!
– What have you been up to recently?
Not too much man, this winters been a tough one! Flat out with work and trying to buy a house is keeping us busy. Been getting out as much as I can and looking forward to solid week in Barcelona at the end of the month. Got some solid plans for a new edit in the works as well so hopefully get the ball rolling on that now the weather’s turned!
– Lastly, do they make you ride like Nathan Williams?
Hahaha I wish! The man’s a savage on the streets. Closest thing I’ve got to his riding is the same style hair, haha. Gonna have to get him on some firecrackers!
