Young American rider Stevie Churchill is part of the Pro team at Federal Bikes – his signature frame for the brand is super-strong with straight gauge tubing and gussets for the top and down tubes, plus a 75.3° headtube angle to ensure the frame felt right for his riding style. His other sponsors include Dan’s Comp, Eclat BMX and OSS apparel.
Hailing from Bristol, Connecticut, Stevie has been riding his bike since the age of four, and was soon trying to emulate his favourite rider, Garrett Reynolds. He has come a long way over the years, turning into one of the most amazing bike riders around, able to kill anything put in front of him – he says he prefers ledges to rails and no brakes to brakes, but, in reality, there’s not a lot this guy can’t do on a bike.
Still young, he has already chalked up some impressive results at the X Games, including four top ten finishes since 2012. Best finish to date came in Barcelona in 2013, when he whipped, spun and ground his way to a bronze medal in the Street competition behind Garret Reynolds and Bruno Hoffmann.
There have also been a spate of recent edits demonstrating Stevie’s rare talent on a bike, including welcome edits for Eclat, filmed and edited by Scotty Mcmenamin. and for Federal, filmed in UK locations such as Brighton, London and Canterbury. He also destroyed Southern California in a new OSS video, released in 2014 and filmed by John Hicks.
