KENDA – KONVERSION – REVIEW

One of the most commonly used race tyres, on tracks all over the world

The Kenda Konversion BMX race tyre is one of the most commonly used race tyres, seen on tracks all over the world. With a classic ‘V’ tread, available in a host of different sizes (20” and 24”), with optional coloured sidewalls and clean Kenda branding, there is not too much not to like.

The key feature of the tyre (apart from the aforementioned ‘V’ tread) is and Iron Cap Belt, which both allows the tyre to be rated as a 100psi tyre as well as reducing your chances of a flat. Dual Tread Compound (DTC) is also featured to offer traction when you need it in turns or on the straights and Kenda have also reduced the weight of the tyre by using a folding Aramid bead.

“Used by World Champions, Olympians and National Champions worldwide.”

Sizes available are 1.5, 1.65, 1.75, and 1.95 and all 20“ sizes are available with black, tan, white, red, or blue sidewalls, giving your bike a colour co-ordinated feel.

  • Dual Tread Compound (DTC) and casing knurling for maximum cornering performance
  • Lightweight casing and folding beads allow for snappy acceleration
  • Flat resistant – Iron Cap Belt allows the tire to be rated as 100 psi tire and reduces your chances of a flat tire.
  • Lighter – Foldable Kevlar bead reduces weight.
  • V-shape directional design benefiting both acceleration and traction
  • Also available in 24 x 1.5, 1.65, 1.75 and 1.95
