There once was a time when, yes, technically there were other choices but the only real choice for any self respecting BMX racer was a set of S&M Bars for their bike. If you looked along the gate at any Elite final around the world during the period of the late 90’s / early 2000’s we would predict that more than 90% of the riders would have been running a set of S&M Bars.
Times have changed and the possibilities and choices are almost endless but the one standard that remains is the S&M brand quality. S&M haven’t been sleeping, in fact they have kept up with current trends and standards and moved with the times with a slimmed down and redesigned version of their race bars.

These bars feature a geometry similar to the classic Slam bar (the OG racers choice), but the Race XLT are super light at 1.6lbs and feature a thinner cross bar, which gives it an aesthetically pleasing design. The bars are multi butted and have undergone the full 4Q baked heat treating process.
