Calling in sick

At any given moment BMXers will call in sick at school or work. It doesn’t take much, a warm breeze, hangover or the nailed on promise of a session. We’re good at it too, picking up the phone in confidence and rattling off excuse after excuse which leaves employers saying things like ‘take the rest of the week off, it sounds bad’. You know it.. BMXers are so good that time after time we’re the ones calling in sick for family and friends. A skill set derived from the wonderfully selfish nature of the BMXer and one which works an absolute treat.

Calling out spots while watching a film

Pause it, set up. Where’s this filmed? Anyone see how low that rail was then? Just rewind that a minute, was that in Road Fools 8? Swear to god Hoder three’d that….

And it goes on. It’s not so much that we love doing it, it’s just what happens when a potential spot appears in a film. We have too call it out, to the annoyance of friends or family who are trying to enjoy the movie.
