I’ve managed to avoid the trend of slick tyres over the past few years. But I’m not sure how long that’s going to last if these are as much fun to ride as they look.

Animal have brought motorbike manufacturing techniques into BMX tyres for the first time with their Terrible One collaboration tyre. This has made it possible to have a hard/fast rubber compound in the centre, which joins a softer and much gripper compound on each side. Making them super grippy around corners and faster than you’ll dare to go in a straight line.

Let’s face it, no one is going to carve harder than Garrett Byrnes and they’re working just fine for him.

Available in 2.2″ and 2.4″.
