BIKE CHECK: Joe Ferguson

Fergy!  This guy is talented, that’s for sure.  We’ve enjoyed watching him come up in the scene over the last few years, to the point he’s now got deals with Radio Bikes and Demolition Parts.

If you want to know more about the lad, we’ve got you covered with our recent feature Who is Fergy?

For now, it’s time to have a closer look at Fergy’s Radio & Demolition rig.

Q&A with Joe Ferguson

– Tell us about this bike. What are you most stoked on?

This is my Radio Nemesis, fully rigged out with Demolition Parts and if I’m totally honest I couldn’t pick out a certain bit of the bike that I’m most stoked on because I’m stoked on the full thing!  I don’t know if it’s the fact it’s my first free bike or the way it looks or feels, I can just tell you I’m proper stoked on my whip!  I will say that I love the geometry of the frame, it’s just perfect for everything I do, so sturdy for cruising in the air but still easy to trick.  Props to Dave at Radio for cooking up the Nemesis!

– Is it all fresh or are there some older bits on here?

The whole bike is new, thanks to the guys at Radio Bikes and Demolition UK for supplying me with the freshness.

– How old is this bike now?

It’s only a few months old, I got the frame early November and the rest of the parts in mid December.

– Where have you been riding on it so far?

Well, before lockdown I was pretty local at Onboard Skatepark and The Asylum Skatepark, but now everything’s been shut down the only place I’ve been riding is the top secret indoor Yorkshire BMX training facility…  The lads down there have done an absolute class job on the park, we’re really lucky to have a little place like that in times like these.

– What’s been your fav spot to ride on this bike?

So far I would say the top secret indoor Yorkshire bmx training facility, it’s been the only accessible park to me for the last couple months, really been enjoying the sessions in there.

“Me and the boys are keen to get back to BCN soon as things open up, you just can’t beat a trip to the BMX capital!”

– Any plans on where to ride next? Is there anywhere you’ve always wanted to go but haven’t yet?

I always seem to be planning something in my head revolving trips.  I know me and the boys are keen to get back to BCN soon as things open up, you just can’t beat a trip to the BMX capital!  And I’ve been wanting to ride the bowl in Marseille for ages but never made it out, and now they have their new park I’ll be sure to make it out there this year for sure!  I just hope these new COVID travel restrictions don’t hamper us riders who like to travel too much.

– Any shoutouts?

First off I would like to thank Rob Andrews and Dave Paterson at Radio Bikes (Moore Large distro) for the frame and cranks and Wichai at Demolition UK (Ison distro) for all the rest of the parts.
