Archie Kenward - Hailsham, East Sussex

Archie Kenward is the resident filmer/photographer for his crew DOPED BMX. You’ve probably seen a few of their edits on our page before, the lads from East Sussex seem to be bangin’ a lot of good vids out lately. Here’s a bunch of Archie’s shots that are equally as dope.

#1

Rider: Theo Dorman
Chainless Ice – Eastbourne.
This set up is far from perfect. With a blind run up and a busy road right at the bottom, we decided to wait until the traffic lights behind me were red to avoid collision. Unfortunately this didn’t quite work out when Theo slightly misjudged and ended up hitting the taxi just out of frame. Damage was minimal and we had got what we came for, with that we quickly packed our bags and made our retreat.

#2

Rider: Sam Curtis
Rail Feeble – Hampden Park
I only met Sam a few months ago when I first moved to Eastbourne, However it didn’t take me long to realise he wasn’t scared to send himself down a rail or two. With that we quickly became good friends and I’ve been shooting photos with him ever since.

#3

Rider: Ben Budgen
Toboggan – Hampden Park
Ben is the man. With limited time to ride due to work, A session with ben is guaranteed to be a wild one. He is no stranger to firing out a dialed t-bog, and his bright orange frame against the blue sky makes this one of my favourites.

#4

Rider: Theo Dorman
Feeble over smith – Eastbourne
Although being a well known spot to the eastbourne locals, Theo originally found this ledge by looking through a small hole in a wall. Theo’s unnatural ability to scope out spots never fails to amaze me, nor does his natural ability to make riding a flatledge look so fun.

#5

Rider: Theo Dorman
Hip Whip – Hampden Park
After watching Theo put all 4 pegs to good use, it’s easy to forget that he is just at home in a bowl as he is on a rail. Big whip over a hip on a cold evening at the park with an unusual body position that calls for a second glance.
