After the success of last years RADBMX For The honour contest Dave and the guys at United, FBM and Monster are at it again for 2013. All entries came in last week, we’ll have the edits up in September and below we have the full team lists and all the info..
‘For The Honour’ is our annual challenge-based video edit competition.
Basically, a ‘Ride to Glory’ (Ride BMX Magazine) style competition aimed at amateur teams from local towns as a platform to showcase their talents – both riding and video editing.
The format is simple, we issue a set of riding and fun challenges for the teams to carry out, video and put into a single web edit. The teams get points for the challenges completed and for the edit as a whole. They have 6 weeks over the summer holidays to complete it all. We then hold a big Jam at the shop to announce the winners and present them with their prizes.
‘For The Honour’ wouldn’t be possible without the support of United Bike Co and Monster Energy. We teamed up with these companies as they show real commitment to supporting BMX at a grassroots level as well as on an international stage. This year we have also been joined by an absolute legendary BMX company – FBM. We are stoked.
These companies provide prizes and support worth a huge amount of money just to support our local scene – we can’t thank them enough.
The 2013 challenges have been set by RADBMX Shop together with individual challenges from riding legends Nathan Williams, Benny L and FBM owner Steve Crandall. These guys along with United Bike Co and Monster Energy will also be judging the competition.
