FRIDAY RANDOMS: BMX Tattoos

It’s FRIDAY RANDOMS time again ladies and gents and I’m gonna admit it, I’ve been slacking a bit with these articles since the birth of my son but I’m back on it and more fired up than ever! The idea for this feature came from an image I posted the other day of Finn Murphy‘s first ever tattoo (below) – I’ve actually got one quite similar with Ride UK BMX written above and it led me to think what other random BMX-related tattoos riders have.

I didn’t have to look too far to be honest, within minutes the post had filled up with photos of your tattoo! Some were really good, some pretty bad, a few D.I.Y ones from drunken nights and a couple cringe-worthy ones. Either way, I thought I’d pick a few out and show you a few gems… Happy Friday everyone!

Maiky Miguel.

I bet this one must’ve hurt like a bitch! BMX for life brother.

Ben Chivers.

“Not exactly the BMX itself, but this is my BMX based tattoo”

They look like BMX bars to me, so I’ll allow it!

Giorgio Mazzon.

I thought this BMX-infused Mexican sugar skull design was a pretty rad concept. Top marks for imagination!

James Clarke.

“My tribute to a lifetime of BMX and the best fucking hobby in the world!”

This EPIC BMX backpiece is sitting at 231 likes in the comments of the original post and for good reason too…

Reggie Webster.

“Don’t have one but getting this done next week.”

Love this design, even though he hasn’t got the tattoo yet it’s still worthy of a submission.

Reggie Webster.

This one is probably the best one of the bunch for me, I love the colours, shading and overall design of this rad skeleton riding a BMX. It’s also got a set of pegs so definitely a winner in my books…

David Jones aka ‘Street Dave’.

Street Dave is one of my favourite humans ever to ride a bike. He’s also an outstanding gent who recently got a tattoo of a scarred up hand gripping an OG Kink peg. Too good…

Ben Bunnyhop Monk.

Not much to say, just a sweet Hoffman Bikes logo on the forearm of a dedicated rider. Nice!

Louis White.

Louis White got this ink whilst on a trip to BCN (if you hadn’t of guessed already) – What better way to mark the occasion?

Grant Stone.

A tattoo’d up girl riding an oldschool Skyway BMX in heels. Now that’s a bloody good tattoo idea!

Todd Williams.

No offence, but if this wasn’t a drunken moment of madness I don’t know what is… Can’t quite work out if it’s genius or absolutely daft. Either way, it’s Buzz Lightyear riding a BMX so I’m cool with that.

Richard Harris Foster.

Richard’s tattoo actually got featured a while back on an old article I did about tattoos, it was so good it deserved another feature. I mean baby jesus with his first set of bars is a pretty special thing, don’t you think?

Tommy Baxter.

Tommy got a cheeky tattoo during NASS Festival 2011 in the back of a van. Standard.

David Stecher.

Drunk DIY tattoos are the best, I’ve got a couple myself. This one’s pretty simple, but effective. 20″ 4 LYF homie!

Roy Salvador.

Roy Salvador is the tattoo artist who put in work on this awesome S&M Bikes shield for a customer named Richard. This shit just pops right out at you!

Kate Neaylon.

“Not exactly like yours but I wanted something abit different to everyone else so I went with this.
Was my second tattoo but still means a lot to me ????????❤️ BMX for life”

Simple, yet meaningful. BMX means something different to each of us.

“I’ve got 2 bmx tattoos, the first was just for the love of it, the second dedicated to my best friend who was in an accident and couldn’t ride anymore!!”

A couple BMX tattoos from Zoe Tolley and some good reasons behind ’em both.

Simon Merrick.

Ok, so I guess it’s not 100% BMX but who really cares at this point right? Another grand idea for a tattoo.

Cody Adams.

“Still gotta get it touched up and color the star in. But one of my most meaningful pieces.”

Reppin’ Kink BMX hard! Sure, it does need a touch-up but still pretty sick.
