Has there ever been a time in your riding when you’d consider BMX as a job? you know, were you’re getting enough wages to live?
Yeah I’d love BMX as a job but I fucked so many people about earlier on, I was young and stupid, sponsor hopping thinking grass was always greener sort of thing. At the moment I could probably survive if I was living at my mum and dad’s pleasure, but owning a house with bills to pay doesn’t help, plus having an unhealthy interest in motorbikes definitely doesn’t help.

Many kids now look at BMX and feel it’s something they’d like to do for a living, not just riding but perhaps a job in the industry. What advice would you give them?
Advice is hard, I guess if you just want to make a living become a contest guy and be the best they earn the most money. But BMX ain’t a sport. The side of BMX I do it’s a lifestyle, I’d say be yourself but if you’re a dick that’s a bad idea, at least if you make it you don’t have to try hard
