S & M – RACE XLT FORKS – REVIEW

For reliability, style, function and a brand you can trust, the S & M shield is a great way to go

A few years ago seeing an S&M front end (both bars and forks) on a AA Pro’s BMX race bike wasn’t by any way out of the ordinary. On today’s gate it is slightly different, but for riders who want reliability, style, function and a brand they can trust, the S&M shield can still be seen gracing many a first straight.

“For riders who want reliability, style, function and a brand they can trust, the S&M shield can still be seen gracing many a first straight.”

The S&M Race XLT fork is made in the USA from 4130 chromoly with a 1 piece, CNC machined steerer tube, double-butted and tapered fork legs for less weight, 3/16″ thick dropouts with triangular cutouts and 4Q Baked heat-treated for maximum strength.

We were sent the chrome option XLT’s and let’s just say they nearly didn’t make their way back into their box home! The chrome is undoubtedly cool and almost retro (in amongst a sea of carbon) and with the S&M brand flair gives this product a heavy dose of ‘bicycle moto cross’ feel.
