BOX – HEX LAB FOLDING TYRES – REVIEW

Designed to be fast out of the gate, the Box Hex Lab tyres are real gems

Box Components are a regular name/brand on the BMX race scene, but only recently have they introduced a race tyre to their extensive list of parts and accessories. Along with the rest of their range, the tyre did not disappoint.

“BMX race-specific tread pattern designed to maximize traction out of the gate and around turns, while maintaining a very low rolling resistance”

Their new tyre is called Box Hex Lab and features an ultra-lightweight, ultra-tacky, race-oriented construction for competitive riders looking for the ultimate in performance rubber. Made in Japan, Box Hex Lab tyres have a lightweight, aramid folding bead, super-supple 120 tpi casing, and a BMX race-specific tread pattern designed to maximize traction out of the gate and around turns, while maintaining a very low rolling resistance.

  • Casing 120 TPI Bead
  • Aramid Folding Bead
  • Max PSI 110
  • Weight (1.75″) 307 grams / 10.8 ounces
  • Weight (1.95″) 321 grams / 11.3 ounces

If your choice of race fork is the carbon option, then judging the Answer Dagger Pro forks on its looks, design and worldwide reputation these could be the ideal purchase for the 2018 season.
