If you’re starting from the deck, you need to make the most of the speed you can get from pedalling before dropping in. As you progress, you’ll realise that you can drop in at high speeds and therefore air or jump higher on another ramp.

As you approach the edge of the quarter faster than usual, pull the front end up and push it down into the transition, much like you would as you normally drop in, only quicker and more exaggerated.

As your front wheel goes over the edge, push down with your arms, forcing the bike down into the quarter.

As the back wheel comes over, start pushing down with your legs as the wheel comes down the final part of the transition. You can really maximize your speed by doing this.
