Concentrate on getting your front foot on the pedal first, letting your back foot follow. You might land your first few attempts on just one pedal, so be persistent and you’ll get the back pedal as you build confidence.
Because you’ve kicked the bike around quite hard you might find the cranks spinning around. This can make it hard to catch the pedals, as you don’t know where they will be. Try tightening them up a bit if this is happening.
