FISE is packed full of different things, from wakeboarding to parkour and lots of bizarre things in between, but BMX is the main focus. We spent five days surrounded by it all, taking it all in and capturing the best moments to share with you.
BMX Dirt made a triumphant comeback after seven years break. The venue was a short ride away from the main part of FISE, but that didn’t stop massive crowds showing up and getting rowdy. It was an awesome thing to watch – I’ve always thought that dirt comps are the purest form of BMX. Dudes jumping their bikes over dirt jumps. Simple, easy to appreciate, great to watch.
The spine ramp was a treat – such a rad set up, with the sub box / vert wall combo, set on stage above the crowd, again, an amazing atmosphere. Highlights were definitely Mark Webb getting the crowd stoked up and Jason Watts drinking beer from his shoe. Classic.
