Proper have always had the knack of finding good spots. Some of the best and most interesting set-ups I’ve seen around Europe have been courtesy of Proper’s Jamie Cameron – he’s a talented researcher.

We haven’t heard a lot from this UK brand for a while but with this new edit of the team tearing up Madrid and new product on the way, it looks like they’re keen to make an impact this year. Nice to see Sam Marden on the team now too.

We’d been planning a trip to Madrid for literally years. It’s a city with too many good rails and we took a crew more than capable of taking advantage of that. Get out the city centre and you’ll find them.

Fortune was one our side. The weather, spots, and riders made for a happy crew. No injuries, few flats, and no broken parts meant we were able to accomplish a lot in a week without getting anywhere close to running out of the seemingly endless set ups.
