TOP TEN: Backyard Jam 2019 photos

Unless you were living under several rocks in 2019, you’ll know that Backyard Jam relaunched in a new format.  Yes, last year the legendary Backyard name became a contest series, hosted in some of the UK’s best indoor parks.  Over the course of five rounds, we saw park and street events, male and female, all ages, with loads of great sponsors on board providing proper prize money and support to the riders who did well.

Our man Adam Lievesley was on hand for most of the series and captured thousands of amazing images.  Now that we’ve processed all the amazing riding that went down, we thought it was time to pick out our top ten images and tell you why.

Joe Jarvis, high hop, at the Unit 23 round. Why? The pop on those yellow tyres, the height of the hop, and the fact we never need an excuse to post a photo of Jarvis.
Textbook bar to ice by Akin Hercules at Unit 23. Even if you see Akin every other day, he'll probably have a new bike set up / paint job and 10 new tricks to show you.
Mark Ducat, blasting, pure and simple.
Ash Finlay went nuts at the final round in Corby. This flip transfer was one of many highlights he was responsible for. Nutty!
Kaz Campbell, pure style on the bike, backed up by Adam's classy camera work here.
When the crowd gets behind you. Street finals, Asylum.
Kris Bunnage performed at peak levels at the final round! Here's something simple and excellent.
B–M–X. Thanks to Tom Russell and everyone pictured here at Ramp 1.
There's a story here. Joe Foley tried to send this drop first, but it all went wrong and he ended up with a peg in the back of the head. He passed the torch to Stu Chisholm and that was that, big bar drop done at Asylum.
Everyone's favourite dry guy Matt Harris bringing trails style to the boxes at Ramp 1. Beaut.
