I’ve written many words about Boiski in the six years I’ve known him. He was there at the beginning of my BMX photography career, in the Nike Media Apprentice final in 2009 – back when he rode for Nike 6.0. Since meeting him then we’ve spent countless days working on projects together, both at home in London and away in America and Germany.

This year, as the Autumn turned to Winter, we found ourselves pedalling around various London boroughs yet again, shooting photos here and there on whatever spots we found. There may not be the big rail-slaying content like we shot for his print interview, but this is still pure street riding, enjoying and adapting what’s in front of you.

Boiski is one of my favourite riders to shoot photos with, one of the best to grab a street beer with and definitely the number one guy to explore the streets with.

Boiski loves a polejam, I love a lens flare.
Tidy Autumn tuck at a classic spot.
Sometimes there are spots on the pavement. Tree bump bazza.

PAST

What’s been going on?

Well, last year I got to go on a few United trips to Spain and California and film for the new DVD… Other than that, not too much really, I’ve just been in London trying to ride most days.

Trying to get out and about as much as possible…

Tight bank, tight barspin past the fence.
Quick uprail to over tooth, South East.

PRESENT

What’s happening now?

More recently I’ve been going out with Nasha (Toby Goodyear) most weekends trying to work on filming some bits, also been shooting some stuff with you, and now I’m in Sydney for a few months trying to escape a bit of winter! Haven’t really had a chance to go ride much here yet, it’s been roasting – it got up to 42º the other day… Thought I was gonna melt!

Another ‘jam fix.

FUTURE

What’s next?

Well I’ll be back home from Australia in the new year so then I guess I’ll be dodging the bad January weather in the UK, trying to get out and about as much as possible. No plans for more trips as of yet but hopefully something comes up.

The simple things... Carving a street tranny on one of the last warm Autumn days.
