Built in 1976, Slade’s Farm is a true 70s skatepark oddity. Compared to the gnarliness of Rom or Harrow it seems like not much – a mellow snake run opening into a wide open banked area, with a small, kinked bowl corner plonked seemingly at random. However the unexpected kinks and sandpaper ‘crete will still eat you alive if given the chance, and the bowl is still the main attraction despite a council built metal abortion tacked on at some point in the last 20 years.
