I always like it when there is a event going on at The Source park, the atmosphere is amazing when there are people crowding around the whole of the higher viewing area overlooking the skatepark. On Saturday 22nd July, the qualifiers were held for this year’s Battle of Hastings and everyone was super stoked – the spectators as well as all the riders.
The top four guys would form a team for the main event happening in September, so everyone was killing it and really getting pumped, giving it their all.
Isaac Lesser came in at the top and took 1st place – no surprise there as he had faultless runs, going mad fast at everything and finishing off his line with straight tooth pick on the vert wall. Nuts!
The other winner in the bowl was Haro bikes‘ Brad McNicol, he was basting everything and ended his run with a wallride to flair, which was insane. The winner of the best tick on the street course was Jack Poulton and the wild card was given to Hastings local shredder Stuart Chisholm – well deserved as he’s one of the best people to ride that bowl with so many crazy lines at his disposal.
RESULTS:
1st – Isaac Lesser
2nd – Brad McNicol
3rd – Jack Poulton
4th – Stuart Chisholm
