Oxford-born Liam ‘Lima’ Eltham is on the team at Verde Bikes. His joint signature model (with Cambridge-born Matt Priest) is the aptly-named ‘Oxbridge’, built to shred skateparks, trails and street, with hammertone finish for a unique look and feel. There are also Lima signature bars, 28.5” wide and with 8.3” rise. Lima’s other sponsors include Fox, DUO and Profile.
Lima and best mate Matt got together in 2014 for a promo for their frame, filmed at various skate parks around the country. The edit was four minutes of pure effortless style and grace, without a peg in sight, but with a few technical moves thrown in for good measure.
Previous sponsors for Lima include DC Shoes, Relentless Energy Drink and S&M Bikes, for whom he rode for four years until 2010. During his time on S&M, he put out some amazing web edits, in many of which he killed the trails around his hometown.
Lima has built up a reputation as bit of prankster, but there’s nothing remotely amusing about his riding – always stylish and creative, he is now regarded as one of BMX’s most innovative stars in any discipline. Among his projects in 2014 has been a trip to Greece with the Verde crew, an epic trail edit from The Woodyard near Cambridge, and Texas Toast in Austin.
