I love hearing stories like this where people come together for a good cause! This was brought to my attention by Joe Jarvis the other day and once I read the story I couldn’t help but share the news with you guys. A teenager who goes by the name of Tom Rowley set out on a mission to raise the funds for a local skatepark as their local park was falling to bits and was due to be torn down, since literally nothing to ride in his local area of Northwich Tom thought fast and started a GoFundMe campaign online.
It takes a lot of planning and organising to pull off something like this and I know first-hand that local councils can be very tricky to please due to rules and regulations, but Tom pulled it off and managed to raise enough funds to save the day and build the new park the locals were all craving. Joe was buzzing because he’s got a local outdoor park to ride and I can imagine everyone was stoked on the outcome!
I’m not usually a fan of metal parks but I’d give this one a go! Well done Tom, this is a great example of what can be achieved with a bit of people power and ingenuity.
