For more than a decade I had always wanted to ride Southsea and finally got down there to shoot with Declan Brooks in the summer. Satan’s Toilet is a savage bowl and although fisheye lenses distort perspective massively, this photo gives me the same feeling of what it’s like to ride that bowl. Sixteen foot deep, crazy long transition, bumpy, vert in places… You feel small. Dec is a local so knows how to send big toboggan airs here, fair play.
