This was a rad trip. I went to Valencia with Brad McNicol to shoot an interview and also came away with this image for the front cover, which caused a bit of a reaction from some people. It was quite a divisive photo for whatever reason. The intentionally strange framing, the simplicity of the riding? Brad and I were into it anyway. This photo reminds me more of the great weather and good times on the trip than the reaction it caused. It’s memorable in any case and I’m glad people were talking about it.
