We are currently looking for a full time magazine designer for Ride UK BMX magazine. Ride UK is the leading BMX media brand in the UK, with its magazine fast approaching its 200th issue and online digital presence growing and growing. Ride UK is the number one support tool for all things UK BMX.
This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with at least 2 years magazine design experience within a studio/print environment. You will have a portfolio of great work demonstrating your range of abilities and passion for typography, photography and layout.
Required Skills & Experience:
Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design
Excellent typographic skills (an eye for illustration/hand rendered type an advantage)
Familiarity with retouching, prepress and printing processes
Flexible, self-motivated and punctual with great attention to detail
Fluent in current design software: Adobe Creative Suite 6 specifically InDesign and Photoshop & Illustrator.
A good knowledge of BMX is preferential
2 years experience working within the design industry
Strong communication and organisational skills
Must be calm with a positive attitude
