When you’ve been producing a BMX tyre for the best part of 20 years, and probably sold more containers full than all the tin pot scooter brands tat put together, you don’t really need to change the design. Tweak it perhaps, but certainly never change it.

The best BMX tyre ever? Could be…

The Primo V Monster tyre is right up there with the most iconic BMX parts ever produced, Slam bars, Tech 77 levers, the Odyssey gyro, it’s up there. There was a time when essentially, your local BMX dealer pretty much had 90% Primo products on the shelves, and generally in black, or polished at best. It seemed to work a treat, there must have been a 5 year window where every BMX on the planet had a Primo product installed.

Times have certainly changed, but primo have stuck with what they know best. The new design seems to be much slicker, with a less cumbersome tread. Lower profile and no doubt a whole bunch lighter and faster! Again the V Monster is designed to be ridden on any surface and Primo haven’t strayed too far at all from the original. As previously stated, why bother? Available in either Black or Tanwall in 2.1″ or 2.25″.
