NICE SET UP: Round 15

Awwww yeaaahhhhh! It’s that time again ladies and gents…

This has to be one of my favoruite features for sure. Simply because it puts a smile on my face seeing how stoked you guys get when we feature your rides! We’ve had tons of submissions for #NICESETUP this month, our Pinned Post on the RideUKBMX FB group has gained some momentum and continues to grow even though the post itself is nearly a year old! (as one of our members Clive Tiddy pointed out today.)  So yeah, thanks again to everyone who submitted & keep scrolling if you wanna see some beauties!

Adam Laskey

You may remember the hop whip infront of Deadpool we posted a little while back on our FB page… Well Adam Laskey is the man behind the whip and he certainly has a dialled ride, loving the colours on this one and quite a nice selection of parts.

Anton Spielhaus

I loved the blue to silver fade on this ride posted up by Anton Spielhaus. It looks like he went down to raw and left a few bits, street as you like! I’m always a sucker for Cult x Vans waffle tyres too. This bike looks pretty tight overall, right up my street.

Jake Evans

You know what? We haven’t featured any racing BMX bikes before so screw it! I’m putting this one in there. Although I don’t know much about these newfangled racing set ups, this set up looked like a flying machine and I thought young Jake Evans deserved a share.

Kevin Johannson

This is one of the tidiest park set ups I’ve seen with a gyro. Usually not my cup of tea but the combination of Total & Odyssey parts won me over. Red & Black always look damn good together too, so this one from Kevin Johannson had to be in there for sure!

Neil Mackie

Neil Mackie sent over this BMX project he’s been working on for a while, he tells me that the previous owner of this bike hadn’t looked after it much and when Neil bought it the frame was rusty and it needed a bit of TLC. Not to worry though, everything is looking pretty tight now. Top job!

“It was in really bad condition when I got it. Had loads of rusty parts, the frame hasn’t been looked after from the people who had it before me. It’s had a respray and some new bits and bobs.”

Brandon Schembri

I do love seeing a good WTP Irish set up. Jason is a friend and it’s always sick to see his signature frame being put to the test wherever that may be on the planet. His frames can withstand quite a bit of abuse as you’ll know from Jason’s riding. This set up set over by Brandon Schembri is pretty stealthy lookin’ apart from those chrome cranks. It suits the bike well though and I must say I’m happy to see 4 pegs on there too…

Clive Tiddy

Clive Tiddy told me he was building this ride up a while ago and I hadn’t seen it in ages, then he drops a fully built photo with specs on our group. It’s fair to say I was pretty excited. This is from my era and it was like ‘bike porn’ to me. S&M Dirtbikes are built to last and for me, this is such a winner with the nice mixture of both mid & new school parts. Tidyyyy!

Josh Miller

Red & Black on red baby! Looks like a friggin’ murder scene. Josh Miller‘s Sunday Broadcaster is a killer set up with mainly Odyssey/Proper and a few other brands parts used in there for good measure. I reckon this would be a strong yet sturdy park set up which could be easily used for a bit of street shredding too!

Mitch Tyler

Someone commented “WHAT THE BANANA!” and “WHAT DO YOU CALL THIS? THE CANDY ASS SPECIAL” on our FB earlier in reaction to this ride and I nearly spat my coffee everywhere. Yep, this is easily the most colourful rides we’ve had featured on #NICESETUP for sure! Mitch Tyler is the owner of this beaut and I think it’s different and actually really like it. That custom spray job is WILD!
