Whilst talking to Tim Ruck this week, he gave us the heads up on the new Flowerpot Skatepark design in Exeter.
“Well it’s all go in the City of Exeter this week, we just confirmed the design for a new concrete skatepark down the road from the shop, stoked!
It’s on the site of the old ‘Flowerpot’ Skatepark, and work starts this Monday with the dismantling of the existing park.
After a lengthy selection process, Wheelscape Skateparks were chosen to construct the new park, to a design they’d worked on with a user group of Exeter BMXers and Skaters.
We’re all stoked on the design, and looking forward to first rides at the completed park, expected to be early September. . .
This park replaces the old wooden/skatelite one The Boarding House were contracted to build for the City Council back in 2002.
We’ll be holding an opening Jam there a couple weeks after the park opens, can’t wait”
