FRIDAY RANDOMS: SNOW FUN!

It’s around this time of year we start seeing people’s interesting SNOW BIKE projects popping up around social media, so I thought we’d dedicate our popular #FRIDAYRANDOMS feature to your past & present efforts and in turn, show people your handiwork! Some sick rides in this feature so keep scrolling…

#1 – Tovshoo Man.

It’s ideal when you’ve got a second setup you can mess around with, hell… You can even use your current setup! This looks like the owner just thought “screw it” and literally just took his chain and wheels off one day to make a quick snow bike. Quality stuff!

#2 – Antoine Youmi Stunt.

If a guy has the word ‘stunt’ in his name you know he’s not gonna be messing around. Loving the snowboard/bike combo he’s put together here, the rear suspension and handlebars for somewhere to rest your feet is a great touch too.

#3 – Dustin Cyganik.

This isn’t a homemade bike but I thought the picture was pretty sick! It’s actually a Drifter Snowbike kit which you can pick up pretty easily via their website which is a purpose built set up which is fully customizable and gives you hours of fun in the snow and looks pretty rad too!

#4 – Ezra Rouse.

A couple of DIY brackets and some skis are all you need to have a blast! Simple, yet effective.

#5 – Jacey Roote.

Can’t say I’ve ever come across one like this before… It’s a sort-of sled/MTB/BMX hybrid and I bet it goes like hell! Quality build, it’s got suspension forks the lot…

#6 – Jurgis.

Apologies for the small picture but I thought these two were pretty rad. Another BMX/MTB mashup but with snowboards as a base and some supports to keep it all moving the way it should when tackling those slopes!

#7 – Justin Wendorf.

Take a 90’s BMX you’ve had sitting in the garage for a while with some heavy-ass (yet strong and reliable) parts then lace a couple of self-made brackets to some skis and you’ve got a ride that’ll withstand an avalanche!

#8 – Marics Tamás.

Just a couple of snow bikes in their natural habitat, move along. Nothing to see here!

#9 – Patrick Henninger.

Another specialised snow bike company, not too sure who makes these beauties but it looks like quality work!

#10 – Tomas Brignell.

This is my favourite by far (and our cover photo) – Who needs a set of skis or a snowboard when you can just blatantly rip down a parking sign and use it! That’s ingenuity, adapt to survive.
