2001: A Cyberspace Oddity
Dear Mr Ride BMX – Magazine
It would be my honor to start in this way. My name is Paul Kolawol and I’m a national of Nigeria where I have lived since the birth of my person. My collection of Ride BMX – Magazine is from year number 42 up to the current issue number 51.
Recently due to work commitments my family have been rewarded with over £4000.00 of British pound sterling. We have a successfully flourishing Internet business which we have built since April Feb 1999. Today we stand the opportunity to move to Sheffield Britain. I now have enough funds to purchase or buy my own BMX bike. Upon arriving in Sheffield Britain I’d like to collect my bike. But first I need you Mr Ride BMX – Magazine to build my bike using the parts provided by you to which a list has been constructed. Please refer to the list marked list.

Hey Paul, I’m not sure what’s happened here. There’s clearly been a time delay of over 10 years. It could be that your email was sent in 2001 and has been lost in cyber space only to land in our inbox now! or you literally think the latest issue you have is number 51. Which, to confirm is February/March 2001. Either way, it’s going to be impossible to get these parts unless I personally scour every shed in Britain, which ironically would probably take 10 years. Also it’s no doubt going to take 10 years for you to read this reply. We’ve managed to combine a total time span of over 30 years in one letter. Thanks Cleggy
