Skavenger – Tunnel V2
The new Tunnel V2 frame by Skavenger is Vinnie Sammon’s signature model. Vinnie is a boss in the BMX game, he’s been riding longer than I’ve been alive more than likely and his Tunnel V1 frame was sick, so it’s right that his signature “Tunnel” frame gets an update. The top and downtubes are made from Mugen heat-treated tubing, which is now 20% thicker than before and also has internal and external gusseting to increase the strength on a frame that can probably already go through a wall without a scratch on it! The other bits on the frame are made out of a more familiar material – 4130 heat-treated chromoly. The Tunnel features an intergrated headtube with a custom Pigeon headtube badge, it has an externally machined mid BB shell, ovalised and externally butted seattube, ovalised chainstays with wishbone style junction, tapered chainstays, tapered seatstays with removable U-brake mounts and custom Tunnel seatstay brace, it also has a widened rear end for large tyre sizes and 5mm thick dropouts.
